Root Vmail icon not showing?

The Vmail icon is not showing when I receive vmail. This started happening a few weeks ago (about 3 weeks ago?) but I didn't notice it till recently. Went to check my vmail and there were lots of messages from the last 3 weeks. My wife noticed the same thing on her phone as well. Same issue on other Awes in the family. All are running KK CM11. Because the indicator worked perfectly until recently, I'm guessing it's a problem at Virgin/Sprint. The work around is to check Vmail after every missed call - annoying when only half the people leave vmail.

Anyone else notice this problem? We are in Southern CA, near LA - maybe it's location specific.
 
Hasn't it been a known issue with CM/AOSP based roms and the Sprint Voicemail? The annoying message versus a standard notification?
 
@urrachris - thanks for upload the file. Where did you get it from?

@starkraving - CM11 KK did not exhibit this problem (for me at least). It just started happening about 3 weeks ago on our phones. VM upgraded its Vmail system around that time, so it may be related to that. We had to set up our vmail password+greetings again at the time.

On CM11 I got an annoying msg from Sprint every time I had a VM which forces you to do the check it the old school way lol.
 
Is it possible to download the stock voicemail app through the Play store? (I'm asking cause I want to get the latest updates and it feels safer)

I dont think I found the Virgin Mobile (or Sprint for that matter) app in the Play Store...
