If users have a Galaxy tab 10.1 and a data plan, can they make voice telephone calls via Skype or other software to land lines and/or cell phones in the US?

as far as I know yes. I use tapatalk on my iphone for long distance calling now. in canada the text messaging does not work...

Do you mean Tapatalk texting or just regular SMS texting, which works fine on mine using Rogers?
