Hi,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy SII X from Telus in Canada. So far, the phone is great and I love Android, but there's a little annoying thing I'd like to fix if possible.
On the device there's an application called Voice Command, which I have no use of. That normally wouldn't be an issue as I could simply leave it be, but unfortunately there seems to be a shortcut that opens it from the home page, which is somehow activated when I put the phone in my pocket and walk around. This is incredibly annoying as everytime this happens, the application asks me aloud: "What would you like to do?" This to me is particularly annoying as I'm not a person who likes to have a noisy phone. In fact, I never ever use a ring tone, it's always on vibrate. So, I have two questions. First, what's the shortcut to get from the home page to the voice command so rapidly? I can see that if I hold the home button for a few seconds, I get a list of apps that I opened recently, and that it might open from there (because it's always been opened recently), but if that is the path, why wouldn't the other applications in that window also open sometimes? Second, is there a way to disable this? I found no option concerning a shortcut in the application's settings. I have a keyguard on the device, but the holding the home button actually bypasses it, so if the application is opening from there, it's not a solution.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
