Voice command like iPhone

[jaybo1973]

Hi guys.

Is there an android equivalent of the voice command used on the iPhone tv advert? I am sure android can do it better

Hi, jaybo1973 well there is something - it's called - Iris. But not an equivalent to Siri, on iphone...

And i found Skyvi, which is better than Iris according to user reviews.

Try Vlingo, or Speaktoit, or Jeannie

Skyvi is slightly better, but the UI is ugly and the constant nag for $$ is annoying. It isn't worth 4 bucks yet to get rid of that. Hopefully it will improve in the future.

I'll take a look, thanks guys

You could wait a bit because Google is planning to release one, but its not yet released (or leaked) in the wild. Soon we will have something like that. It may even be more intuitive because of Google's large database.

Cool. I am sure daddy google can do it better

Yeah, I am banking on that. They already made normal voice commands more intuitive and accurate. We just need something that can talk back.

If you're using galaxy SII, there is a hacked version of S Voice on XDA, but I guess your phone must be rooted!
