Voice Command without Internet connection

Hi Guys (and Girls),

I just wonder if the voice command option could be utilized without internet connection! It is a helpful feature if you are on the road driving with no internet connectivity and want to send an SMS for example but since data coverage in my country is not possible everywhere it doesn't work for me! Is there a way to activate it without internet connection?

Android voice command requires data/internet connection because it's a Google server dependent feature.

However, Android Market has a few apps which claim to allow for VC with no internet. Do a search in Market. Here's one such app:
