Voice dial using relationships

I have a Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 running stock 4.2.2. Voice dial works with names but not with relationships. Is there a way to activate it? There is a provision in contacts to store relationships. For that matter it does not work even with nicknames.

Anyone have any idea about this?
