Voice Mail Icon will not go away on deactivated Marquee

I have a LG Marquee that I use as a test platform. I deactivated it after I went to T-Mobile so I no longer use it. However it is still telling me I have 6 voice mail's waiting. How can I clear it out?

Assuming this won't work because you can't call the deactivated phone

So, how about rooting it, installing cwm, and clearing all data/factory restoring???

I have had the phone rooted since day one, I also have CTMOD 3.28 installed with CWM (non touch version). It doesn't do it with ICS or JB. But being those aren't "Gold Code" I am not going to rely on it.

Go into recovery mode and do a factory reset. That should solve your problem.
