Voice mail replay order

On my wife's Droid Bionic (Verizon) she has to listen to all the old saved messages before she can listen to the New messages. I know there is an option for changing the replay order, but I can not find it. I have gone into the mailbox and personal options, then to Administrative options. It just will not let me get to the message review options to change the order to the new messages first.

Any Ideas as to what I am missing? My phone is set for new messages first.

Is she for certain pressing 9 or whatever the command is to mark a message as saved? If you listen to a message, but don't tell the system to either delete or save it, and just hang it, it keeps it as new. Meaning if you had a voicemail from Monday, listened to it but never actually archived it, when you check your voicemail on Friday, all new messages will play in the order they were received, so the Monday message is going to put up first again. If she listens to a message and either marks it for deletion or presses 9 to save it, it definitely should be kicked to the back of the line, and only accessed after listening to NEW messages and then selecting the option to listen to your saved messages.

I've never heard of any actual menu setting to change this, I think you probably just save your voicemails with the proper button command whereas maybe your wife has just been hanging up on them after listening and then they are still marked as new.

I think your interpretation is probably the problem ... and solution.

I went searching for any kind of control of the playback order (other than your interpretation) and could not find one.

You may be right. We were shopping yesterday and I stopped by a verizon store with her and talked to the rep about it. THEN she says it does not do it all the time... just sometimes....you got to love them.... So it does sound like this may be the problem with her not deleting the message or saving it... Thanks for the help!
