Root Voice Mail shortcut opens text messaging

Mayhem

There's a similar thread for the Incredible with this same issue.

Clicking on the icon opens showing only SMS/MMS or All Messages. There's not a 3rd icon for actual voicemail.

I don't recall having this issue prior to rooting my phone. It doesn't matter what I'm running ROM- or launcher-wise. I just flashed back to das BAMF 1.6.3 nte and its still there.

I created a new contact called VMail and put that on my desktop, but it's still rather annoying not to have it work like it should.

Anyone else see this and know what the cause is?

My software version still shows 1.13.605.7. I know there's a way to root 605.10 and I'll likely do that here in the next day or so. Whether or not that will have any effect remains to be seen.

I tried this, but it wont download when flashing. Is there a certain way I need to name the file or somewhere specific that I need to place it? Thanks.

Well, this cropped up again. I downloaded the VMM file referenced further up in this thread, but the app itself won't install via Rom Manager.

So I tried the .apk itself. It doesn't tell me anything other than that it failed.

I don't recall if I tried the file the last time or if I just switched Roms.

I'm using Thunderstick GENII 2.4.1. I don't think it makes a difference (but you never know).

Has anyone else actually experienced this and been able to resolve it?
