How To Voice Mail, Text, or New Call

Lurker
Don't know if I'm the only one with this problem. In all phones I've had in the past, when I miss a call, or when there is a new voice mail, an icon pops up on the screen notifying me. Don't see this with the new Droid. I have to go to my "in-page" to see. Am I missing something? Is there an app that I can download when a new text, voice mail or call comes in that will pop up when I turn the phone on.

Thanks

On your main screen, all your notifications will appear in the status bar on top of the screen. touch the status bar and pull down and all your notifications will be listed.

Thanks - but is there a way that the status bar comes up whenever something is in it rather than having to "pull it down?"

Its one of the cool features that not everyone may like, but if your doing something on the screen (surfing/composing/texting) there's no need for interrupting your screen. There's a notification tone/sound, and a blinking light on the top right corner of your screen until you view the notification at your connivence.

Pull the status bar down, view the notification, and decide if you want acknowledge it now or later, or you may decide what your currently doing is more important than the message.

there's no need for Screen dominance by notifications or messages, if your phone needs attention, the blinking light and/or the status bar will indicate that. Your phone doesn't need to be hysterical, loud, crazy, and flashy... its stealth, covert, sophisticated, low-keyed, and smart... lol

Preach on, DriodPower! Although, I believe that notification LED has given me OCD. Especially with these repeated Yahoo! Mail notifications, I'm always tempted to check what it is.

LMFAO - I feel ya - for me it is the twidroid notifications. Although I follow a judicious few, several of them are habitual tweeters - and so it is going off constantly....
