Help Voice problems

I used to have a Mytouch 4G and could use the genius button to make calls and get texts when driving, both with and without my bluetooth car speaker. I upgraded to GS3 (T-mo) and can't get it set up to do either function. I've tried S-voice to make calls or send texts, which sucks because it doesn't understand my normal American accent very well. I also tried drive mode. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, if anything? Thanks
