I want to take notes "at location" when doing a certain type of work. I'd like them transcribed to text for quick reference later (speach is IIRC 100 words per minute, while reading is 400 wpm).
I've installed a notes application and I can then hit the microphone on the keyboard to do voice recognition. Great!.
However, "at location" the internet connection is often quite lousy. So when I say something, it ends up transcribing nothing. I'm now researching "offline voice recognition" and found that this is possible. I have gone into the input and languages settings menu and installed the offline Dutch language files (20MB).
Now when I say: "Dit is een test in de nederlandse taal", it transcribes: "Dit is een test in de Nederlandse taal" Perfect! (with correct capital that I did not say.
)...
Then I go "airplane mode" to simulate being at location with a lousy internet connection and then it transcribes: "it is best in the nails done", or "Did asian taste in a long shadow". Not quite what I said.....
I have now set Dutch as the preferred language, and rebooted the phone, but it still transcribes pseudo-english when I speak in Dutch.
My phone is a Motorola Moto G, on android 5.0.2.
Any suggestions?
