Voice recognition not working

Please someone help! I dropped my phone a little bit and the cover actually came off a little. My voice recognition in text msging, email, and google search not working! do i need to activate it? VOICE RECORDER WORKS FINE!! so its not the mike!! any help or suggestions greatly appreciated!
