Voice Recognition

Hi,

trying to get the voice recognition to work with my x10 and im having no luck. I've installed VoiceSearch_1.5.apk but all it does is FC on me everytime i try to run it.

anyone else having issues?

Get Vlingo from the Market, does EVERYTHING by voice, has a completely handsfree in car feature and it is free.;)
 
I had this problem when I was on 2.1, had to install the voice search 2.1 apk, and then install the htc ime keyboard to use voice typing on sms messages. When I flashed to freex10 2.2, all i did was install the htc ime, and voice typing worked.

Maybe take a leap and root your phone and run FreeX10 Rom,its Froyo :) .
After I did it,i was simply amazed by my phone

Vlingo will use any program you set as default to send messages. I use Handcent and Vlingo together. Vlingo also has its own keyboard that you can use in Handcent, I find Vlingos voice recognition much better than Googles.
 
Yeah Vlingos is much better than googles,It seems that before I can finish what Im saying,google stops recording and wants to send th message. I use swift keyboard with hadcent and vlingo.It works great.
 
im starting to use vlingo a little more and im starting to like it.

i was thinking of flashing my x10 but i havent done enough reading yet, lol.

have any links you could share about getting Freex10 Rom ?
