Voice Recorder Files

I tried searching for this answer but didn't find quite what I was looking for. I have a file that I recorded with Voice Recorder app. It is saved as a .AMR file. I'd like to use this as a ringtone and send it to my wife to use on her PRE as a ringtone as well. I assume that I have to get it to a more usable format, like .MP3. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this?

I'm not sure if this is the same app you have because the Voice Recorder app I have doesn't give any web site, developer, contact or other info. I can't find it when searching on play.google.com (no surprise, as they have >1,000 apps related to this. The app I have has the icon of an old-style reel-to-reel tape recorder with two white spots below the reels.

Does anyone know any contact or other info on this developer?
