Is anyone aware of a voice recorder app whose recording can be triggered by a single-button hotkey, without having to press the power button and unlock the phone? In other words, the recording needs to start by taking the phone out of my pocket and pressing/holding down one button with no further action. I have the Samsung Galaxy S3, so potential trigger keys are power, volume up, volume down, and home. About me: my neuroanatomy has been modified such that I have virtually no short-term memory (neither verbal nor visual), and I forget most things literally seconds after seeing or hearing them. I utilize technology to compensate. When I have a conversation that contains information that I will need to reference later (later being minutes, hours, days, or beyond), I must take notes of the conversation. Pen and paper have proven unsuccessful because my handwriting rate is less than the other party's speaking rate, and I must occasionally interrupt the conversation with a pause so I can finish writing the few words that are in the shred of memory that I do possess. This can disrupt the other party's train of thought, thereby interfering with the course of the conversation. I've purchased a simple digital audio recorder, and it can do what I need, EXCEPT my pockets are so full of other things (medications, cell phone, every key I have so I don't have to keep track of different sets and potentially end up at a destination without a needed key, wallet with a string tied to a belt loop so I don't misplace it, etc) to the point that removing anything possible would be positive. A one-button recording app likely exists and would eliminate the physical recorder from the scenario. I've already googled, and although many apps were shown, I didn't find one that met my needs. Put another way, the Google results were a haystack, and I didn't find the needle. Thanks tremendously for reading this and providing any suggestions.
