Help Voice Search- error: com.google.android.voicesearch has stopped

com.google.android.voicesearch has stopped - voice search Lovin' the phone, but suddenly getting this msg. Apologies if already addressed. Anyone know how to get voice search to work again? It still works in phone contacts.... thanks!

Was it OTA or manual update ?

was fine this past weekend. donwloaded home++ and thought it was the culprit. uninstalled it and google voice search still FC's. did something change at google? did verizon send an update? looks like i m still running 2.0.1.

Thought I'd chime in to help out if possible.

Google Voice search works for me over wifi and Tmo 3g.

Manually installed the update earlier today.

just checked and nothing seems to have been updated. does look like other users are complaining of same thing on other boards, all having started today. when i get home i can try on wifi - only have vzw 3g here.

Same problem here, but I forced the update. No idea why it is, but it doesn't bother me much (I'm Spanish and Voice Recognition doesn't think too high of my spoken English )

all is working now. i guess we just had to sleep on it. suspect it was on google's end the whole time.
