Voice Search not detecting contacts?

So for the life of me, I can't figure out why Voice Search won't detect the contacts on this phone. I've synced and resynced contacts, cleared data for voice search, and installed and uninstalled the latest Voice search from the market. No matter what I do, it refuses to to dial a number or send a text to a contact, instead attempting to run a Google browser search.

Any ideas?

Does voice search suppose to find contacts? I seem to see an app named Voice Dialer, which will search for contacts.

Just a thought.
