Root Voicemail annoyance

So I have no idea where to post this and this part of the forum gets most help so I'd prefer it to stay here. What can I do to get the voicemail popup in my notifications to go away? It says I have one pending and to tap there to call voicemail. I have the Visual Voicemail tho. In VVM it says I have no voicemail. And when I call it through the notification it connects to "Sprint Voicemail" which I had to set up to listen to old voice mails from last month. It now says I have no voice mails remaining and prompts for voicemail settings or whatever or to end the call. Notification won't go away.

I wish I could remember how I resolved this same issue. You might have to call Sprint.
If you can, uninstall and reinstall vv.
And try refreshing the sync (with the settings in vv).
Good luck to you for now.

call the phone from another phone, And leave a message. Once the notification pops up, Delete it like normal. The first one should go away. This happened to me once and leaving another new message fixed it.

I also have that same issue. I'll try that the next time I'm near another phone.
