Help Voicemail notification

Hi,

Hoping someone can help with my GF Nexus (great phone). Stupid voicemail indicator wont go away grrrrrrr.

Have tried removing sim, leaving a new voicemail, doesnt work. I hate seeing that icon.

Please help.
 
Huh?? Voice mail? Ohhhh. I see the problem here. You need to het a program called Google voice. Right. Now. It'll fix EVERYTHING. I promise.
 
How long has it been stuck there? I'm wondering if its the phone or tmos servers... keep in mind it takes time for them to het the message that you've deleted the VM and then relay that back down, especially if the network OS saturated. This is a known tmo problem. Hence why Google voice is so great.
