Help voicemail password problem

After the GB OTA, my phone will no longer automatically send *86,xxxx# when dialing vmail. I checked the vmail contact and the vmail settings in settings and both are set correctly, but only *86 is being sent when I dial vmail via the vmail app.

Any suggestions? Can someone else try this for me and see if it's just my phone or not please?

Thanks in advance.

Instead of the comma , use a 'p' instead, so it would be *86pxxxx# . Just tried it from mine, works. When I use a comma, it ignores it in the phone number being saved.

Not working for me now after the GB ota...Thunder22 -did you ever get yours working? I tried redoing it both the old way I had it with the commas, and the way CharlzO suggested with p instead of comma...but it still doesn't work for me...anyone else having this problem? I'm having to just manually type in the passcode now everytime...

i got it fixed:

settings>voicemail settings>voicemail #> *86,xxxx#

it looks like GB isn't pulling it from the voicemail record in "people" anymore.

Uggg...mine is STILL not working....what's funny is, if I pull up the "Phone" dialpad and hold down the "1" button (with the voicemail icon on it), it DOES work and enters the ,XXXX for me!

But if I press the voicemail icon, it doesn't work...any other thoughts of what I could be doing wrong?

Do you have a voice mail contact in the phone? I deleted it and added it back, that didn't fix it, but then in conjunction with the settings change it work. Make sure the vm contact isn't over riding it. maybe delete the vm contact.

Did a hard reboot...and low and behold it is working now! Thanks!
