Is YouMail free on AT&T? As in is there a charge from att to forward your calls to your youmail number?

I havent seen any extra charges for using it. I did see that in the app for an extra fee per month you can read your voicemail, but im perfectly happy with the freeness of hearing it

Yeah I don't mind not having the voice-to-text feature but I just want to be sure I'm not being charged a fee for ATT to forward my voicemails to YouMail.

The only thing I have read is that some people are saying that using a vvm app like this is that it will use more mins like a 2min vm thru att vm system is just 2mins but since it is being routed to youmail that it doubles those mins that the 2min original vm is then forwarded to youmail as another 2mins of usage so total 4mins.

Im not sure if that makes sense as wouldnt the call just be forwarded to youmail and not att then youmail?

That makes sense, stupid concept, but it makes sense. I'm not worried about the minutes, I barely scrape the surface of my 550 minute family plan since everyone I know is on ATT. I can spare double the extra time if needed.

Thanks!

Yeah I have a ton of rollover and barely use any of the 1400min plan I got due to now having a-list and that new unltd family text plan which now includes unltd mobile to mobile on any carrier. My mins are piling up

I use Google voice as well, although the speech to text translation seems to be off quite a bit. If people would speak clearly and consistently I wouldn't have to listen to the messages. :)

YouMail is nice too. One big advantage to Google Voice, however, is that once installed on your phone it can also be used to make free calls to the US over wifi if you travel internationally.
