VoLTE? YES

When the original ZMAX was released it did not have VoLTE enabled. The ZMAX PRO does not have VoLTE. Is this phone even capable of VoLTE and is there a possibility to add the feature through a future phone update?

This phone has an option in settings under call settings to enable voltlte..(voice over LTE)

Wow... I had not seen that option. Most of the phone review websites are listing it as having HD Voice but lacking VoLTE. Thank you for clearing this up.

All T-Mobile (thus MetroPCS) phones have VoLTE standard since the launching of band 12. By now they shouldn't need an update and should be ready out of the box. Although, not sure why it isn't enabled in settings by default. If it isn't, simply enable it if desired.
