Help Volume Boost

I have Volume+ Free, which worked on my Droid X...but it doesn't seem to be working on my Razr MAXX.

Does anyone know of an app that will put a little more volume in the ear piece and speaker (for notifications)?

No one has an answer, eh?

How about sometimes my notifications don't work at all? If my phones been sitting, and I get a text, I seldom get a notification, until I turn the screen on and see it in the notification bar. Then the light starts blinking and what not.
