Help Volume Control?

I get no sound on my TF300 for music, videos, YouTube, Skype etc. I went to the setup area, for Volume, but cannot move the button for volume control. I have looked everywhere, but cannot locate volume controls for my tablet Can someone help? What is the stupid thing I'm doing/missing?

Under your notify area and slide the line with the icons to the left. There should be a silent icon, it was interfering with my volume as well.

Thank you...I didnt even realize that the damn thing slid...exposing so many more controls!
