Help volume on touch tone dialing

Newbie
I like a touch tone when dialing. I use the short tone setting but the volume is quite loud. Any way to lower that volume? Side buttons do not do it.

I think the only options are long, short, and off. I turned mine off cause I can see when I push a button.

For those who don't know how:

From Home > Menu > Sound & Display > Audible touch tones > Off

Yea it is very loud! I jsut turn mine off...don't think you can control this volume level.

I have another problem I noticed recently. Phone keypad presses result in no sound at all. I have tried long and short tones and rebooted the phone. I removed the Swype beta in case that was causing it, but no luck.

Anyone have an idea where else I can look?

I already tried Menu/Sound&Display/Audible touch tones and tried "long" and "off", but currently have it at "short".

My phone just started doing this same exact thing. I prefer to have the sound when pushing the numbers and am not sure why it all of the sudden stopped working. Anyone else know what I can do? I've done all the obvious like check the settings etc but still no luck.
