Volume rocker not working

I was hoping someone could offer me some suggestions to fix the volume rocker on my LG G5. Both the up and down volume buttons on the side of the phone stopped working suddenly, but the volume can still be adjusted through settings. Thanks in advance!

P.S. This is my first post so please excuse any blunders in posting!

Suggested answer: Take it back and have them fix it. This is a hardware issue.
