ALRIGHT. I have the Galaxy S4 and this problem isn't new, but only now it's really consistent. Whenever I listen to music and just remotely try to turn up the volume, my phone turns it up to max volume. Same with the ringer. It just does it. Even when I try to lower it back down it just goes up again. I thought the button was stuck but that wasn't it, so I tried a factory reset because it worked last time, but to no avail, it still happens. I tried changing headphone because I thought maybe that was the issue but nope. Still happens. I'm running out of ideas. I'm not that tech-savvy but I feel somethings really wrong. Thanks! :)

Look into cleaning the headphones jack. Possibly some lint or dust got in there and got impacted affecting controls.
Hi! I went and did what you recommended, but when I went to test adjusting the volume, it went all out of wack again. What else can I do?

Did it start immediately after factory reset or awhile later.

If awhle later, it may be a 3rd party app that you have installed (and reinstalled).

Try rebooting into safe mode to see if it persists.
