Voodoo on galaxy s.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S
model number:gt i9000
firmware version : 2.3.3
baseband version:i9000ddjv4
kernel version:2.6.35.7-i9000ddjv6-CL198883root@SE-S605 #2
build number:gingerbread.ddjv6

can someone guide me step by step on how to root my phone(that is galaxy s with same version of ginger bread and kernel version etc)

I dont even know what a kernel and flashing is.

"I am buying 'voodoo sound plus' app from market and it says the phone should be rooted.

So i would need to root my phone in a way that I can use voodoo sound plus.
Also will just rooting my phone and installing the voodoo sound plus app get the full potential of the Wolfson chip ?

Again I dont know much but heard wolfson chip are made to work less than their potential in this phone...

Rooting your phone will not change the rom /kernel or modem you currently have.
Only flashing a rom can change that stuff in your case.
So go ahead and just search how to root for your model phone, follow the step carefully.
