VPN Home Screen Shortcut?

I just configured my VPN. I'm using TorGuard and it seems to work well. I have to navigate thru "System Settings">"Tethering and Networks>"VPN". I searched for a widget/shortcut that I could put on my homescreen. Do anyone have any ideas as to how to create a home screen shortcut to VPN? Also, for whatever reason, the phone requires a "Lock Screen" security [I chose a button swipe] before allowing me to activate my VPN. Does anyone know of a way to circumvent this? I normally never use any kind of security on my lock screen.

1) No. Once you have a VPN set up, all your connections go through it. There's no reason to constantly change it, so there's no reason to have to access it from the homescreen directly. It's a set and forget thing.

2) No VPN program allows unsecured access. The whole idea of using a VPN is security. If you leave the back door unlocked, why worry about what kind of lock you have on the front door?

Not sure if it's the same as I'm using the Nova launcher, but I can create a shortcut to the VPN settings by creating a new shortcut, selecting settings shortcut, then choose VPN. It'll take you to the VPN menu and you can connect, disconnect from there. That's about as close as I could find.

As for android requiring a lock screen, I don't know a way around that. Android requires a lock screen once you have VPN set up as it's a form of credentials.
