Help VPN issues on EVO 4G

I just got an EVO 4G a few days ago, and I've been having issues using the VPN. The phone is running the stock 2.2 ROM, rooted via unrEVOked3. I've tried using the VPN both while connected to wifi and 3G. The VPN server is a Windows 2008 server located at my apartment.

While it says it's connected, I am unable to browse or SSH to any of the boxes that are on my domain network. Visiting whatismyip.com on the EVO brings up an IP that is allocated to sprint, which is rather conclusive regarding the VPN not working.

I've tested to make sure that it actually is talking to the server - invalid credentials are rejected properly, and I've confirmed using my laptop that the VPN is up. I can also VPN devices connected to the EVO via tethering, but no luck with the EVO itself.

If anyone could shed some light on this issue, it would be hugely helpful.

thanks!

[Additional Info]
After rebooting the phone for something unrelated, the phone now no longer sends or receives any data when the VPN is enabled. It disconnects after a minute or so without saying why.

I am having a similar issue. I have a stock EVO 4G, Android 2.2. I am able to connect to our office's MS VPN server on WiFi using PPTP. I can also verify that network traffice is routed over the VPN connection. However, PPTP does not seem to pass any data over 3G or 4G network. L2TP/IPsec with PSK does not seem to work either. Is there anyway to "fix" VPN so it will connect with Microsoft VPN??
