Ive recently purchased the new lg stylo 2 and the automated vpn is constantly showing a key symbol at the top of my device? Is this condusive to online data theft? Please advise

Usually that symbol indicates you that you are connected to VPN. There is nothing to worry about.

Mine does that to show it's connected. It might cause you some issues accessing things etc depending on where your device thinks you are (unless you turn it off) Shouldn't be an issue with data theft though.
