to update to 4.2 I need to break out the phone.
I've tried numerous exploits -- after updating to current adb and windows drivers (twice)
and have failed.
The problem seems to be inablility to access those dirs owned system:system -- and therefore can't create the linked tmp dir that is the basis for a number of first time su attempts. Permissions problems. I can adb shell so I know I get to the phone -- but ls -l /data fails with a permissions issue (to see if I can take a look) -- so can't remove the tmp dir to ln -s to.
Someone has just told me to use "run-as" command -- but that requires package-name which Im not sure of -- and I dont know if that works yet either.
Suggestions very welcome please.
