[VZW] JB gripe - power consumption / weak charging

I tether alot. I connect my phone via USB to another computer in my office and tether my laptop through it. Normally my phone battery would charge (slowly of course), but as long as I'm not streaming video or something, after a couple hours or so, the phone would be back to full charge (I don't have precise data on the charge times).

But ever since the JB update, the USB charging is just really weak, or the power consumption (at least while tethering) is higher...

Google Now and location services other than basic GPS off. No changes in phone settings or running apps...

I'm assuming your signal isn't weak, because that will definitely use battery faster than it will charge.

Your phone isn't getting ridiculously hot is it? The battery will stop charging if it gets too warm to protect itself.

Battery life on my vzw has been TERRIBLE since JB update. Before JB I could go two days before charging now I barely make 8 hours.
Today's stats:
Screen 31%
Android OS 19%
Phone idle 19%
Cell standby 14%
Six other programs 3% or less

Can I go back to ICS bc this battery life sucks and I don't see any advantage of JB for me.

My battery life does seem to be a bit worse at some things and a bit better at others. It seems pretty close though. However, like I said, the USB charging seems significantly weaker. I'll have to give it a couple of weeks to see how it settles down.

I'm tempted to go back to 4.0.4, but we'll see...
