Root VZW Updates Breaking Root

This was the case with the D1 - updates break root.
There were safeguards in place on many custom ROMs and there was a .zip file that would fix the hole if you weren't doing a custom ROM.
Basically it blocked OTA updates.

Is there anything we have for the D2 to block updates, or am I way off.
This would be in regards to custom ROMs as well as straight rooted phones.

ROM devs - should probably get on this if the exploit isn't covered.
