Hello all
I have experienced a lot of different phones over the years: Treo700, blackberry storm (i loved this phone, even if everyone else hated it!!) various dumb phones, and then something happened...I bought a droid incredible. I had missed the original wave with the motorola DROID because i didn't like phones with flip/slide keyboards and I was used to full touchscreen at this point, so I waited patiently for the incredible to come out. I absolutley LOVED this phone! but my first one's life was short lived, it met a watery grave in Puerto Rico. It was replaced with another incredible immediatley.
a few months after that, however, we switched to sprint to trim down our bill. I went with the EVO 4G (this was in January of this year, so the phone was already past its life cycle, but it was free with a 2yr contract). While I loved the HTC side of the device, I hated most everything about it. the Battery was awful, it froze and required a reboot a LOT, and the boot took 3 minutes typically. After 6 months, I bought an Iphone 4 on ebay because my work was transitioning to apple, and it would make my life easier.
I have now been spoiled by Apple's battery life for months now....but I have been pulled back into android by the Nexus 7. I am eagerly waiting to purchase one.
As a result, I am also, looking into leaving sprint, and my iphone in the dust, when my contract is up january 2014...sooo long...
My plan is to purchase a pair of Nexus phones and rock prepaid to save on costs and not suffer through contract charges. Most likely T mobile. I just hope they keep the $30/month unlimited data/text plan available that long!
Since salivating over the Nex7 I have rebooted my DINC and have been messing aroud with rooting and learning as much as I can about everything I can, because its not like i'll be without a phone if it bricks! lol
So thats my long winded story, I'm here and I can't wait to be knee deep in android software again soon!!
