Wake device problems

I've been reading the forums to see if I can find an answer to my problem and I think I have come to the conclusion that I can't get around this, but I want to ask just in case.

I am running CM 10.1 on a "legacy" device.

I want to phone to launch and play NPR first thing in the morning.

Profile 1: MWF in Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec.
Profile 2: starting at 6:00am, stopping at 7:00am

Task:
1) Plugin: Secure Settings>Screen Dim, Manual Off
2) Load App
3-9) Run she'll commands
10) Media Volume 10

I've tested the task and it runs beautifully. The problem seems to happen at the Wake Device command. When I test the task as it would run in the morning (wake device, run task), it seems to get stuck. The device doesn't wake and stops after loading the app.

I've read in one of the posts that some devices can't do the Wake Device task. Any other work arounds?

Try all of the options in that secure settings action. The one you chose is the only one that will work on my device, all others won't. So it is picky, just try all of them.

Also, check the run log to make sure that is where the task is failing. Main screen>menu>more>run log

Thanks! I had tried a couple of other combinations but not Screen/lights on. I also changed to 5 minutes active. Not certain which one did the trick, but it's working now.
