Walking App?

Good afternoon,

I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 and am looking for a decent or half decent Walking App using GPS. I have Co-pilot for Navigation which is great. However, I am looking for something that I can use whilst out walking in places where the signal is very limited. I am guessing this would have to be maps downloaded onto the phone. Google Maps or Tracks won't work because of the poor signal.

If it helps the area I am looking for is for the Peak District in Derbyshire, England.

Thanks for your replies, I have cardiotrainer already, I was looking for an app that could possibly display maps and then, using GPS show me where I'm walking so I don't get lost :) not one that would be able to show me where I have walked afterwards
The main issue is there is very little signal to use maps that require any kind of signal.

CoPilot has an walking mode and doesn't need a data connection for navigation.

But I think, you want to walk outside the city, maybe on trekking tracks.
Then have a look at Osmand.
The app uses preloaded maps and creates a turn-by-turn route for short distances.
Still beta, but there are updates.

EDIT: Haven't seen your last post ;)
So you don't need turn-by-turn for walking.

So a preloaded topo maps would be nice :)
Have a look at Maverick.

I have downloaded Maverick it seems to be what I need. From reading reviews on it, I'm guessing that the only way to get the maps on your phone is by caching them and you also need to do it at each zoom level too. It's a pity that Google don't let you use their maps.
Thanks for your help on this one Harry

Endomondo isn't the right sort of App. Maverick is good, but I like BackCountry Navigator because it let's you download UK Ordnance Survey maps, rather than cache them....they're ideal for what I need in the country. Thanks all for your help!
