Root Wallpaper and Unwanted App's

Shimmy_69

Newbie
So, I'm taking the advise of many and getting rid of my Live Wallpaper to lengthen my battery life, but I hate the canned Wallpaper and want to use my own. Can anyone tell me what size I need to have my jpeg files, it seems every picture I use is to small and is stretched beyond recognition.

How can I get rid of some of these canned app's that USCC has installed, like City ID, My Space, etc. I can uninstall anything I have added easily, but I cannot find a way to get rid of the 'junk' I don't want.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the wonderful world of Android, as delivered by Cellphone carriers. Bloatware is a feature!

You can't uninstall the "stock crap" from the phone, unless you're willing to root it.

I was sort of thinking that was the only option, but just in case I was just missing something simple I figured I should ask. I appreciate the information though!
