Wallpaper issue

Lurker
I dunno if this a Motorola Moto G 2014 issue or an Android issue but.....when I hit my 'Apps' button the wallpaper is set to solid white and I cannot, for the life of me find how to set this to transparent so as to see my chosen wallpaper behind the icons such as in my home screen. Any ideas? If I press and hold an icon to make a 'new' page, it doesn't present this solid back ground, so is fine and how I want it.(Apologies if this inappropriately posted here). See below!

Welcome to Android Forums.

I think you will find this is a restriction in the launcher. I believe they are using the Google Go Launcher and there is no way to set the wallpaper in the app drawer.

I use Nova launcher Prime and it is one of the many options it provides.

Thanks Thom. I have just read up and learnt a little about Launchers which is new to me. What I can't easily discover is how to uninstall mine (it's Google Now Launcher) - would installing another (e.g. Nova) supersede my current one. Also, was my current one part of the initial set up (i.e. Motorola chose Google Now for its Moto G 2014?) Lastly, does the Nova Launcher Prime (should I install it and get it working) prevent Google Chrome's speech recognition. I kinda like the whole "OK Google" thing?

You can install multiple launchers. When you have ,ore than one a new item appears in system settings and you can slect which one you want to use. It is very nicely done.

This particular launcher is not needed for "OK Google Now" I have that capability on my Turbo when using Nova Launcher Prime.

Nova Launcher Prime is one of the capabilities that changed (for the better) the whole way I approached my phone.

You can easily try it and if you don't like it you can easily dump it.
