Wallpaper size being enlarged

When I try to use my pictures as a wallpaper the orange guides come up to make the size but when it posts to my homescreen it enlarges it even more. This didnt happen before and its driving me crazy! Please help

I've always hated how android handles wallpapers. I use Wallpaper Wizardrii instead.

I use an app called "dodol wallpaper" It seems to work wonders. I recommend you open your Application management and reset/clear data on the wallpaper or gallery.
