Want to doublr your battery life? Me too!

If you read Mikes thread about the Samsung live chat, you'll see my post with the following advice from Sean at Samsung.....
Sean : I will provide you some steps to increase the battery life.
Sean : 1.Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more
Sean : 2.Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour
Sean : 3.Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well.
What do you think? Does this strike you as stupid as I thought it was?
Despite my misgivings, I'll try this tomorrow......

This trick you posted sounds very similar to the one that people with the HTC EVO 4G used to do as well when that phone came out last year.

1. Connect the phone to the charger and charge device until the LED turns green with the phone powered on. 2. Disconnect the phone, and power it off. 3. Reconnect the phone to the charger, and charge the device until the LED turns green again. 4. Disconnect the phone, power it on, and then power it off. 5. Reconnect the phone to the charger and charge until the LED turns green again. Power on and use.

I never tried doing that yet. Did it actually make any noticeable difference for you or was it a waste of time?

id like to know some results. last time i left a bettery on overnight connected through my cablebox usb for charge it messed up my battery but never have a problem leaving it plugged in through a outlet. this phone i could write a tutorial on the negatives

Its probably a way to factory reset the battery. I heard some ghetto ways to do this like take a wire and tape them to the positive and negative sides and connect them for 8 hours. Then recharge like normal. Supposedly it drains the battery completely, making it like it was when it was manufactured. I never heard this other option.
