Root Want to install custome ROM on my Milestone 2....Help needed!!

Hi,

I bought a Milestone 2 from ebay and have decided to intall a custom ROM on it..first to get rid of MOTOBLUR and also hoping it makes my phone faster and with a bit more battery life..!!

I have never done it..in fact my phone at present is running on stock software and is not even rooted. My phone is currently running on 2.2 Android.

Can someone pls guide me what custom ROMS are available and best for my phone, where to get them from and what all softwares are needed to install them and also a step by step guide on how to go about it. And also do I need to root the phone seperately before installing the ROM..?

If you need any more information about my phone before advising me...pls do post..!!

Also my phone is from singapore and I am in the UK.

There are basically no customs rom available as the bootloader is locked. You may try to check xda-dev as there is some argen2stone thing, but I have never tried it. I got rid of blur by rooting and freezing unneeded blur stuff with titanium backup.
