Just curious if anyone has any instructions for this. I have searched quite abit and there are plenty of Root videos for other versions of my phone but none for mine...

I wan't to get ride of some of the apps that came with the phone...i.e blockbuster...amazon...kindle...etc..

Would it be easier to downgrade my version?

Thanks for all the help ahead of time..

You'll just need to do the milestoneX sbf using the KDS 4.5.604 iso found here http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html that has the Zergrush root method built into the file which will get you rooted. Here's another good link to check out for info on 621 http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-general-discussion/45783-important-info-621-update.html

No i never took the 621 update, im still on 605. Since your on 621 you'll need to do that mx 4.5.604 sbf before you can root and unfortunately you can't go back to 602/605 or anything else for that matter. That linux iso sbf won't change your baseband so you'll be good to go. There's a how to video in the link i gave you with instructions on how to sbf, it's actually pretty simple.

I read through it and it seems like something I can do. Thanks...I searched around the web and almost had come to the conclusion that there wasn't an option for 621...glad I came here. Probably will attempt this tomorrow and will post my results (hopefully I won't have to post questions).. :)

I did this on mine last night then flashed CM9, and wow what a difference! It was really easy to do. CM9 is so smooth, but my Wi-Fi still hardly picks up signal. This is my work phone though and it's up for an upgrade in about a month and a half, so I'll deal with it til then. Moved over here from the LG Esteem forums when work gave me this phone and I'm pleased to see all the development on this phone. The Esteem devs are hard at work on getting CM9 running, but it's great to see all the help over here.:D
