Want to save a draft SMS but then send a different message to the same person

Hi all...

As the topic suggests, I want to save a text message as a draft but then send the same recipient a different message.

If I explain why it might make more sense. The recipient is one of my workmen. I want to create a message with the site address and work required for his job tomorrow, and save it as a draft. But throughout the afternoon I need to text him different things, such as how he got on today, what's left on the job he did today, etc. If all's ok I want to send the draft text that I saved earlier to him.

But I can't get this to work. Drafts seem to be incorporated into the conversation as the last message. Even if I save a draft then compose a new message to the same recipient it clears the draft and replaces it with the new message.

Any ideas? Really, I would like the ability to save multiple drafts for several recipients and send them whenever I want, but also have the ability to text inbetween drafts.

Just tried starting new text message but without entering a recipient, and putting the name at the start of the message, but it won't save a draft without a valid recipient.

Thanks for any replies.

Great question, After reading so many silly questions this comes as a slight relief. How about if you send the Addresses via email, since his phone should get emails just a s easy as txt's, then you can text all day then use email for the address.

Or you could send the txt with address to your own phone number then forward it to him later...

If i helped hit the thanks button.

Or use g tasks to save task for later with address on, then copy and paste to SMS later.

Or use go SMS and set up address as scheduled text to send at certain time, then carry on texting as normal. Just remember to delete scheduled message before it sends if you no longer need to send it.

You would probably have to try Hancent or GO SMS and save message templates. I assume these have a template feature, but I cant say for sure. Worth a go.
