System status: Custom...I think that indicates the phone's firmware has been rooted and/or modified in some way. Although the Warranty void counter is still showing 0x0, as it should. Did it just do that by itself?

That's download mode. To get to that you should have to press volume down, power button and home at the same time. No idea why it would boot into it by itself though. If he's stuck in that screen hold the three buttons and then press down to reboot.

Well maybe it's download mode. It looks a bit different to anything I've seen on Samsungs before. Your saving grace though is the warranty void 0x0. That means it's good. If it was void it'd say 0x1.

Yes it did. He just put the phone to charge and that screen showed up with that message

He did that after few trays it worked but it did it again. The phone will work for a bit and then do it again.

Try booting into safe mode. When the phone's off hold volume down and power.
When the Samsung logo shows let go of power but keep holding volume down. In safe mode no downloaded apps will be running so if it doesn't boot you into download mode by itself then the problem is to do with a downloaded app.

Yeah that looks more like download mode. Hold the three buttons again and then press down to reboot. Then turn off the phone and boot into safe mode. If the problem doesn't persist then the problem is an app you've downloaded.

You could also restore it in Odin then the root process very carefully make sure you're not installing zips that make the phone have problems and install twrp to again
