Help Water damage indicator

I preface this post by saying I've never once had my Note anywhere near water.

OK, so was I cleaning up the Note 3, you know the normal teardown and polish procedure and I noticed that the indicator strips are white with a bunch of pink Xs. I wonder why I never noticed this before, but is this normal? Isn't it supposed to be white?

I hope I haven't triggered the water sensors, I know I've never gotten my phone wet.

normal teardown and polish procedure??
you must get in deep to see watermark strips. LOL
never in my life have I ever done that.

I only teardown.. when I am trying to fix something.

swipe the screen across my clean shirt I was currently wearing at the time.. when it is needed. done.. is my normal procedure.

I think the pink "x" is normal. these are hidden under the covers with screws.. so I don't see any.
when it gets wet.. the pink marks start to melt and smear across the white.
so I think you are OK.

Ha ha teardown as in taking the battery cover off and going at it with a micro fiber cloth. My bad for the gross exaggeration, I'm really only referring to the battery and battery compartment indicators but thanks though. :D

That is normal, to see the X's. When it gets wet, it turns a solid pink color and that's how they know it's touched water. I know this from experience. :D
