water damage

Lurker
yesterday, i dropped my galaxy s3 in the toilet...and to my suprise it still works..the only issue im having is that the screen has becoe really dark, almost tinted. the touch sensitivity is still perfect, camera, lights, sound, everything else. does anyone know what to do to get the screen back to its normal condition? ps. i did let it sit in rice for9 hours or so last night, it didnt seem to help much.
thanks!

Please take the battery and cards (sim and sd) out and let it sit in a bowl of rice for 48 (!) hours. Moist will cause short circuits.

I'm surprised how many people know to put it in with rice but don't realise you need to leave it 24-48 hours to dry it out. Maybe it's impatience.

Anyway by using the phone if it's not fully dried out you may have fried some of the internal components, I can only wish you luck from here on out (what you need to do is put it back to dry as suggested above)

The screen is dark because it still has water in it. You shouldn't have turned it back on so soon. Now you probably did even more damage. :(
