Waterproof box?

reburns

Newbie
Anyone find a neat & trim waterproof box? I want to use a rowing workout app ("And/Oar", http://www.carolinarower.com/?q=node/109), and it's always possible to flip a boat. Will velcro the phone near my feet.

The Otterbox or S3 1000 apprears too short, the 2000 looks way too big.
Pelican 1010?
Bingo Pouch?
BeachBuoy?
Tupperware?

Thanks :)

Ziplock Bag! :D:D:D

But seriously, you're probably not gonna find a completely waterproof case that will allow you to continue using your droid. Your best bet is to use the app to create a workout and then wither put your phone in a Tupperware container or don't take it on the boat with you.

INDUSTRIAL Ziplock! :D Yea!

Thinking about a Pelican 1015, but still wishing for something smaller. There's also a Pelican i1015 with earphone connection.

The rowing app just stays on the whole time you row, uses the phone's accelerometer to measure rowing stroke rate, and GPS for speed. Some use it with a bluetooth heartrate sensor.

Yessire, tho an Amazon customer review said they tested a Pelican i1015 to 48psi. Honestly, I usually keep the boat upright. ;)

That case is just kinda big.

The Otterbox works well. I used it recently in a dry sack while canoeing. If it's too big then just throw in some padding. I'd recommend the padding anyway as I completely scratched my screen protector with the Droid by itself in the Otterbox.

You'll have far fewer to no options if you're restricting yourself to an exact or near-exact fit.

Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn't risk it. But if you really want to, I'd get two of those options. Maybe that ziplock bag plus the Otterbox case just to be careful. Just my opinion!
