this is no different from what they normally do....... if the republican canidate is far right the dems will pay for some center leaning conservative to run as 3rd party....... if the republican is center leaning theyll pay for some ultra conservative to run as 3rd party.... to pilfer some of the votes away from the republican.... this happens every election cycle........ Im sure the republicans do a bit of it also..... I forget which way they were leaning but I remember in 2008 Rush was doing the same thing.... encouraging republicans to vote for (I forget which it was) either obama or hilary in the primaries because they were polling far worse

its just typical dirty politics that both sides play..... because neither side has a candidate that can win on their merits
